RE-WEAR CLOTHES MARCH is the world’s first-ever walk to bring awareness to the environmental/ climate impact and price of fast fashion. The match is organized by the Human Rights in Fashion Centre (HRFC), a London-based not-for-profit organization that exists to advocate and activate sustainable and rights-based practices and approaches in the fashion industry as a catalyst to solve climate and human rights issues.

Objectives

  • RAISE AWARENESS ABOUT THE IMPACT OF FAST FASHION ON THE ENVIRONMENT/CLIMATE.

  • ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO RE-WEAR THEIR CLOTHES TO REDUCE WASTE AND MINIMIZE ITS NEGATIVE ENVIRONMENT AND SOCIAL IMPACT

  • HIGHLIGHT RIGHTS-BASED ETHICAL AND SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES IN FASHION.

  • BRING AWARENESS TO HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS IN THE FASHION INDUSTRY (MODELS RIGHTS, CHILD LABOR, DISCRIMINATION, UNFAIR PAY, INDECENT WORKING CONDITIONS, MODERN SLAVERY, GARMENT WORKER ABUSE, SEXUAL ABUSE, VIOLENCE, INHUMANE TREATMENT)

  • DECRY HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS IN THE FASHION INDUSTRY.

Participants will be provided with branded t-shirts, placards and light refreshments. Participants can also bring their branded materials and placards with messages within the themes of the march. Train/bus travel money compensation available to be claimed after the march.
